Chief Executive Officer, WTC New Orleans (WTCNO)
We have been working diligently on behalf of our members to help transform Louisiana, a state rich in culture and tradition, into a titan of international trade and business. Founded in 1943, and recognized as the first of what are today over 300 WTCs worldwide, the World Trade Center of New Orleans consists of 1,ooo+ company and individual members and prides itself on being the state’s strongest and most experienced international organization.
Our objectives are to:
- Add wealth and jobs to Louisiana through international trade and related services;
- Foster business and economic development by engaging in allied activities;
- Provide resources to help our members and the Louisiana professional community expand their international business.
We are dedicated to pursuing more opportunities for our members and demonstrating to the world that Louisiana offers opportunities and advantages that are conducive to establishing and maintaining successful businesses. In 2012, member organizations were able to significantly contribute to the state’s record-breaking exports, the total value of which exceeded $63 billion. The strong demand for Louisiana products around the globe, our great port system, our position as a center for trade in the hemisphere, and our strong membership base are all keys to our continued growth.
The World Trade Center is excited to represent a diverse group of companies, professional organizations, and government institutions that include manufacturers, energy, agriculture, maritime, digital media, foreign consulates, and other interests. We work with each of them to promote international trade and economic development in Louisiana.
The World Trade Center and our partners are here to assist Louisiana companies who wish to expand their international business. It is my personal wish to see business continue to flourish in this state, and I hope that you are already enjoying the benefits of WTC membership. If not, I hope that you will soon join our organization and become a part of our efforts on behalf of the large member base we represent.
