The World Trade Center is frequently asked by companies in this
country and abroad for a list of projects that are planned and under
development in connection with the rebuilding and economic recovery
of south Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
These requests come from other World Trade Centers, prospective
investors, joint venture partners, financial institutions, suppliers
of building materials, contractors, engineering firms, and other
providers of goods, services, technology, and capital seeking
business opportunities in Louisiana.
In response to these numerous requests, in October 2007 WTC New
Orleans launched a Directory of Louisiana Construction Projects with
detailed listings of projects that are in the planning or
development stage (housing, industrial, commercial, port facilities,
schools, hospitals, and more). Additions and other changes are made
to the directory on a regular basis, and in the past week alone 49
new projects have been added. This brings the total number of
individual projects listed in the directory to over 350, with a
total investment value of over $45 billion.
In addition, there are hundreds of additional projects linked to
the following websites for:

The Projects Directory continues to be a work in progress. We recognize there are projects not included because we are not aware of them or due to incomplete data. Also, some of the information contained in the directory may need updating; we will gladly revise those entries if the project developers send us their revisions. The directory is updated weekly as we receive new information.

Note for Excel Users
Follow these steps to alphabetize the Directory by field
1. Select all columns
2. From the menu bar click “Data” and “Sort”
3. Sort by desired column
(sorting by column without first selecting all columns will sort only that
column independently of the other data)

Finally, the WTC and its First Stop
for International Business Services office wish to thank
Louisiana Economic Development for its support of this
initiative, and special thanks to the university student interns who volunteered their time and
energy to meticulously compile the
information in this directory. Without their dedicated efforts, it
could not have been done.
