Jorge (George) Garcia is a Practice Manager leading
the E|Architecture consulting practice at Sprint E|Solutions. His
practice provides advisory services to CxO level executives, helping
them make strategic decisions about enterprise architecture to
ensure proper alignment of IT strategies with business goals.
Mr. Garcia has been in the IT and Telecommunications Industry for
over 12 years, where he has held a number of key management and
strategic consulting roles. He has carried out extensive work in
Project Management and Technical Architecture Consulting for the
Manufacturing, Software Publishing, Supply Chain Management, IT and
Telecom industries. He is an effective and fluent communicator in
three languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese).
Mr. Garcia has served as a strategic consultant to RACSA and ICE
(Costa Rica’s Telecom and Internet Service Provider) in developing
the architecture for establishing a Central American NAP (Network
Access Point) in Costa Rica. Most recently, he was a lead strategic
marketing consultant to Intelig Telecommunicações, Ltda.
(previously Bonari Holdings, Ltd.) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Intelig is Brazil’s second largest Telecom Service Provider and
the only licensed competitor to the recently privatized Embratel
Telecomunicações. Intelig provides next
generation Data, Voice, Long Distance and Wireless services to
the Brazilian marketplace.
Mr. Garcia has done extensive work in developing cross-cultural
organizational leadership to help companies develop and implement
communication and empowerment strategies that transcend cultural and
language barriers. He regularly presents seminars at Sprint’s
Applied Technology Centers and other IT related industry forums in
the U.S. Latin America and Brazil. Additionally, he has published
internal seminars and white papers regarding Enterprise Network
Architecture, Wireless Data Networks, Network & Systems
Management, ISP/ASP SLA Development, Maturity Mapping and
Organizational Efficiency Metrics.
Mr. Garcia holds several enterprise level industry certifications
from Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, 3Com, Cabletron, Nortel,
Netscout and Concord Communications.
