Mr. King will discuss market opportunities in China's fast-growing economy and will describe the new China Business Information Center located within the Commerce Department's U.S. Commercial Service. The Business Information Center features practical information that American exporters can use to enter the Chinese market.

About Sean King

As Special Assistant for China, Mr. King heads up the Commerce Department’s domestic outreach on helping U.S. companies sell their goods and services in China. He also coordinates incoming trade leads from China and plays a key role in executing outgoing trade missions and senior-level Commerce travel to China. He accompanied U.S. Secretary of Commerce Donald L. Evans and members of the President’s Export Council (PEC) on a trade mission to China in June. He also helped stage seminars on venture capital in Beijing and Shanghai, and escorted a New York trade mission to Guangzhou. Mr. King previously served as Team Leader for Case Monitoring in the Department’s Trade Compliance Center (TCC), where he oversaw the casework of the TCC and headed up its outreach program. Before joining Commerce, Mr. King was based in Singapore for both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Citibank. He has also worked for the New York State Department of Economic Development. He holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the American University in Washington, D.C.
