November 11 WTC Press Conference for Major Announcement |
We
invite you to attend an important press conference on
Friday, November 11 at 11:30 a.m. in the WTC's Executive Offices in Suite
2900 for a major announcement related to the New Orleans area's
economic recovery efforts.
Norman Anderson, the President & CEO of CG/LA Infrastructure LLC based in
Washington, D.C., will be present to announce that CG/LA's Fourth Annual Latin
American Leadership Forum will be held in New Orleans on March 28-29, 2006. The
international event is expected to bring 500-600 executives to the city for the
two-plus day meeting that will focus on the Top 40 infrastructure projects in
Latin America. It represents an outstanding opportunity to support and showcase
New Orleans and the world-class industries that Louisiana offers to Latin
America in inter-modal transportation and logistics, shipbuilding, oil &
gas, agribusiness, and other sectors.
The sponsors of the 2006 Forum include SAS Institute, Aon, Banco do Brasil,
Black & Veatch, Cemex, Global Crossing, Felsberg & Associates, Patton
Boggs, Taylor-DeJohngh, Exxon, and the World Bank's Multilateral Investment
Guarantee Agency (MIGA) and the Bank's International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Leading international firms in Louisiana also will be invited to participate as
sponsors.
This will be the second major international event for New Orleans to be
announced at the WTC in recent weeks. On October 13 the World Trade Centers
Association, comprised of 278 WTCs in 78 countries, announced that it will hold its 2007 Annual General Assembly in New Orleans to demonstrate
its confidence and support of all WTCs in restoring their longstanding trading
ties with New Orleans.
Please
let us know if you or your representative will be able to attend
the November 11 press conference by replying to this e-mail
message or calling Susannah Coolidge at the WTC at (504)
529-1601, ext. 222.
We
look forward to seeing you on Friday.
Charles
