His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States, will tour New Orleans on July 12 and 13. The World Trade Center will host Prince Turki at a special luncheon, bringing together high-level governmental, trade and business leaders to discuss Saudi-U.S. relations and the Kingdom’s humanitarian aid efforts around the world. The youngest son of King Faisal, Prince Turki served as the Director General of the General Intelligence Directorate, the Kingdom's foreign intelligence service, from 1977 to 2001. Prince Turki was appointed Ambassador to the United States in July 2005, having previously served as Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland. Following his luncheon remarks, former U.S. Ambassador to Djibouti Charles Baquet, a native New Orleanian now at Xavier University, will moderate a dialogue with the Ambassador, featuring questions from the participants.
