Presentation Highlights
- How the energy industry must address the delicate balance between
energy production and consumption with increased supply.
- Energy sources: conventional oil and gas—including access to
resources presently off limits in offshore waters and on federal
lands—as well as unconventional oil and gas requiring innovative
technology.
- Development of clean fossil fuels, and alternative and
renewable energy sources, including biofuels and hydrogen for
transportation fuel and wind and solar technology for electricity.
- Conservation by supporting progressive solutions that result
in greater energy efficiency and stimulate economic growth, as
well as the education of our young people about the energy
industry—how it powers the present and will fuel the future.
- How industry must—and can, with advanced technology—conduct
business in socially, economically, and environmentally
responsible ways.
