The New
Orleans U.S. Export Assistance Center and the World Trade Center
will host a breakfast briefing on “Doing Business in the
Nordic Countries: Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden” featuring Peter Strandby, Commercial Specialist with the U.S.
Embassy in Copenhagen. The Nordic countries represent a
large, sophisticated marketplace that is considered worldwide to
be an excellent test market for new products, as well as an
easy-to-enter market for both experienced and new-to-export
American companies. English is widely spoken, business
agreements are reliable, and the infrastructure is first rate.
In addition, the region has close cultural, political, and
historical ties to the U.S., and is extremely receptive to U.S.
products and services. Excellent opportunities for U.S.
businesses exist in all of the Nordic countries across a variety
of industry sectors.
Following the briefing Mr. Strandby will be available for
one-on-one meetings with pre-scheduled companies. The
briefing is free, but pre-registration is required. To
register for the briefing call (504) 529-1601, ext. 220 or click
the above link. To schedule an appointment with Mr. Strandby,
contact Erin Butler-Mueller at the New Orleans Export Assistance
Center at (504) 589-6730 or
