- The state of Louisiana provides many incentives to attract and retain business:
- There is no corporate income tax for items produced in Louisiana and exported out of state (single sales tax apportionment).
- Electricity, water, natural gas, machinery, and equipment used by Louisiana manufacturers are not subject to sales tax.
- Companies may be eligible for Louisiana FastStart, recognized as the nation’s best workforce solutions program by Business Facilities. FastStart offers customized workforce recruitment, screening, and training at no cost.
